The first FoT Family Disco was a success, 50 families enjoyed a dance, a drink, a limbo competition and the buffet. It was the first time some families had gone out all together, no need to find a babysitter for this event. Although there were some tired children at 9pm, hopefully everyone enjoyed a lye in on Saturday morning.

Special thanks to George the DJ and all the helpers on the door, bar, buffet and for cleaning up.

Although this was a community event we still did really well, raising £438 for equipment for the School.

'When's the next one?' was asked lots, we do need more help to run the events. The next disco for the children is Wednesday 21st July but it will be open to parents as well if they wish to come along.

Mini Friends of Trinity School Interest Group would really like your help this Christmas in helping the PDSA

You can help by collecting your USED STAMPS and put them in the FOT box in the School Reception.

The PDSA are running a fund raising scheme to help mis-treated animals
and it doesn't even cost the price of a STAMP!

Thank you for your support and Merry Christmas
from Your Friends at Trinity

Friends of Trinity collected any unwanted textiles on Tuesday 20th October

Clothes, curtains, bedding, shoes etc have been taken away, to be weighed, sorted and sent to Africa.

We gave 162 bags, which weighed 729 kilos and raised £291.60 beating the collection in March which raised £147.

This is an amazing cause:
  • we can have a clear out
  • recycling our unwanted textiles
  • give them to people who really needed
  • promote community spirit.
  • AND raise money for FoT.

Thank you for supporting this cause and helping so many people!

Ever thought of jumping out of an aeroplane at 15,000 feet for charity?  Me neither.  However the brave (mad) Secretary of Friends of Trinity Marie Purvis will be doing just that in the New Year in Exeter, thanks to her husband Lee who booked the "experience" on her behalf and told her after.

Marie will be raising money for Friends of Trinity and would really love your support and sponsorship.

Good Luck Marie, I'm sure the time will fly by!

Friends of Trinity are keen to raise as much funds as possible for our children at Trinity Primary School.
In the last 12 months we have raised a staggering £16,000!!!!
But of course it doesn't stop there.
We have had a tremendous support from the parents, teachers, neighbours and well wishers and recycling is something we can all do to reduce waste and raise funds without costing us a penny!

What we recycle:
  • Mobile phones
  • Empty ink catridges
  • CD's - undamaged in their cases with the original artwork
  • Games - undamaged in their cases with the original arkwork
  • DVD's - undamaged in their cases with the original artwork
  • Foreign Currency - we will exchange the currency to share with FOT and OXFAM.  Even obsolete currencies that have been replaced by the Euro.
  • Used Stamps - will help the PDSA, this charity was picked my the Mini FOT'S
  • Clothes for a Cause - Save you unwanted textiles for our next collection
  • Milk bottle tops for charity
  • And the school needs 2 litre soft drink plastic bottles to make a green house.
Please bring in any of the above to the school reception or contact Shelby 01275 845432.
Many thanks for your kind and continued support!

The cake stall was a sell out, plant stall, book stall, 'days out' raffle with tickets to longleat and diggerland, a very popular tombola, hook a duck, football shoot, hoola hoop competition - well done Nelly 7 minutes and 19 seconds!, teacher skittles, lucky dip, lucky sand sieving, badge making

Special thank you to all the staff and parent helpers, the fairs can only happen with your help.

and Jump who donated tickets for the Raffle and came and did face painting for us.

Trinity School's first ever Carnival entry went off with a BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP, YEAH!!!
As we celebrated 50 years of the Mini car.
Whilst The Trinity Beatles sang to drive my Car, there was a fanatastic convoy of children, parents, families and teachers doning the Mini T-shirts, 60's costumes from Hippy's to Mods,
racing car drivers and even the pushchairs dressed up.

A special and sincere thank you to all who helped with all the Carnival preparations and building evenings and to Claire for the BBQ Friday evening and Breakfast Saturday Morning.
And finally a big 44ft thank you to Andy at Beacon Logistics for providing and driving the Lorry.
The Carnival is a great event for Portishead and aswell as a fun day out
we raised money for FOT and other local charities.

To see some snaps of the day go to the gallery page.

MINI THANKS
