Welcome to Friends of Trinity
BigBulletTrinity Methodist Anglican Primary School, your new local community school, opened in September 2008. Parents, teachers and the community have come together to establish a local group called Friends of Trinity (FoT).

Current Fundraising Activities

Recycling
We are currently collecting empty ink cartridges and old mobile phones to recycle and turn into cash for Friends of Trinity.
And we now able to recycle unwanted CDs, games and DVD's that are in a usable condition with the cases and oringal artwork.  Please hand in any unwanted items for FoT to recycle to the school reception.

Foreign Currency
If you have a pocketful of foreign currency that you didn't spend in the airport after your summer holiday put it in the FOT money box in the school reception.  They money will exchanged and shared between FOT and OXFAM.

Clothes for a Cause
Thank you to all the children, parents and well wishers for collecting a heavy 370 kilos of textiles to be donated to people in under privileged countries. Your efforts have helped many people and Friends of Trinity received £148 in return that will go directly towards the playground equipment funds. Then £291.60 in October 2009.
The next Textile collection will be on April 27th.

How We Plan To Raise Money

·          Events
Future events may include Fairs, Quiz Nights, Ladies Nights, Fashion Shows, Golf Days, Food Tasting Evening, Barn Dances, Toy Sales and Children’s Discos as well as sponsored events.
Ideas are welcome please contact us and get involved.

·          Shopping Schemes
We also plan to get the children involved by having items like calendars, tea towels, Christmas cards and bags printed with the children’s artwork on sale. We are linked to schemes where we can get a commission for things you may buy - school shoes, name labels, books, craft materials, bikes, Invitation Books in January or by using easyfundraising.org.uk - see the shopping schemes page for more details.

Donations are extremely important. These can be time, money, items for sale or to recycle, donations for raffles or offers of services and skills.

How We Plan To Spend The Money We Raise

We will consider and agree upon how the money is spent at the FoT Committee Meetings. Karen Sancto (our Head Teacher) will have a ‘wish list’ of items that the school would like to purchase. Sometimes this will be as a result of the children asking for something or at other times it will be for resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment. We would also welcome ideas from parents. In the main the FoT funds will be for the ‘extras’ not provided by the school budget, that make our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting.

The money we raise is usually spent fairly quickly. That way, you can be sure that in supporting our school, your child/ren will feel the benefit immediately, along with everybody else.
