 Welcome to Friends of Trinity
Trinity Methodist Anglican Primary School, your new local community school, opened in September 2008. Parents have come together to establish a local group (FoT).
The FoT is unlike a traditional PTA as it encompasses not just parents and teachers but also everyone in the local community.
This website aims to provide you with all you need to know about who we are, what we do and how you can get involved. If after having read the information you have any questions please do not hesitate to email info@friendsoftrinity.co.uk or call 01275 390 244.
Aims And Objectives
The FoT provides an opportunity for parents/carers to play an active role in supporting the school and its staff in the care and education of their children. The FoT has two main aims working towards furthering the educational, social and general opportunities of our children at Friends of Trinity Primary School:
- Communication - To adopt good communication and to promote a friendly and social atmosphere within and between all pupils, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
- Fundraising - By organising special fundraising events, we are able to strengthen the sense of community between school and home whilst raising much needed funds for the school. The funds raised enable us to buy facilities or equipment outside the normal school budget and thus advance the education experience of the pupils – those extras that make school life more enjoyable.
- All funds raised are donated in their entirety to the school - all PTA fundraisers and trustees work on a voluntary basis. Donations are also closely controlled and only made available for projects that will directly benefit the children.

| A great time was had by all with cream teas, strawberries&cream, hot dogs and burgers, the cake stall was a sell out, plant stall, book stall, 'days out' raffle with tickets to longleat and diggerland, a very popular tombola, hook a duck, football shoot, hoola hoop competition - well done Nelly 7 minutes and 19 seconds!, teacher skittles, lucky dip, lucky sand sieving, badge making and face/nail/hair painting/tattoos. Special thank you to all the staff and parent helpers, the fairs can only happen with your help. Thankyou to Costco for their food donation and the Coop for the strawberries and Jump who donated tickets for the Raffle and came and did face painting for us. We raised £1,050, this will go towards the chicken project to buy an eglu and two chickens for the children to look after and sell eggs to fundraise! The winning names for the chicken naming were Bear and Charlie! |

Trinity School's first ever Carnival entry went off with a BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP, YEAH!!!
As we celebrated 50 years of the Mini car.
Whilst The Trinity Beatles sang to drive my Car, there was a fanatastic convoy of children, parents, families and teachers doning the Mini T-shirts, 60's costumes from Hippy's to Mods,
racing car drivers and even the pushchairs dressed up.
A special and sincere thank you to all who helped with all the Carnival preparations and building evenings and to Claire for the BBQ Friday evening and Breakfast Saturday Morning.
And finally a big 44ft thank you to Andy at Beacon Logistics for providing and driving the Lorry.
The Carnival is a great event for Portishead and aswell as a fun day out
we raised money for FOT and other local charities.
To see some snaps of the day go to the gallery page.
MINI THANKS!
