Welcome to Friends of Trinity

Trinity Methodist Anglican Primary School, your new local community school, opened in September 2008.  Parents, teachers and the community have come together to establish a local group called Friends of Trinity (FoT).

This website aims to provide you with all you need to know about who we are, what we do and how you can get involved.  If after having read the information you have any questions please do not hesitate to email info@friendsoftrinity.co.uk or chair@friendsoftrinity.co.uk

Aims And Objectives

FoT provides an opportunity for parents/carers/members of the community to play an active role in supporting the school and its staff in the care and education of their children.  FoT has two main aims working towards furthering the educational, social and general opportunities of our children at Trinity Primary School:

  • Communication - To adopt good communication and to promote a friendly and social atmosphere within and between all pupils, staff, parents, governors and the local community.
  • Fundraising - By organising special fundraising events, we are able to strengthen the sense of community between school and home whilst raising much needed funds for the school.  The funds raised enable us to buy facilities or equipment outside the normal school budget and thus advance the education experience of the pupils – those extras that make school life more enjoyable.
All funds raised are donated in their entirety to the school - all FoT fundraisers and trustees work on a voluntary basis. Donations are also closely controlled and only made available for projects that will directly benefit the children.

A team from AXA came to do a challenge day in the School and built a greenhouse out of recycled 2 litre bottles. It is made of over 2000 bottles all threaded onto canes collected and washed and cleaned by Trinity's eco warriors & recycling interest groups.  Children from Eco warriors/recycling and gardening all came out to help and see the greenhouse being put together.

Thanks you to AXA for coming to help us build the greenhouse and James and Jamie for putting in the foundation posts.
